Strong's Water Club & Marina

Box 1409 2255 Wickham Ave. Mattituck, NY 11952 link phone (631) 298-4739 fax (631) 298-4803 Description: Strong's Water Club & Marina (formerly Matt-A-Mar) is located on the north shore of Long Island diectly across Long Island Sound from Madison CT. The trip across the sound is technically easy. The mouth of the inlet can be hard to spot. Be sure to use the local buoys to guide yourself in.

First vessels in the creek are commercial fishermen.
Soon the private marinas show up.
Some large boats come in the creek.
In 2013 we were in slip S25, one of the recently refurbished slips. It was very spacious with updated fingers.
In 2014 we were in N41, an old "Matt-A-Mar" slip. This slip was only marginally usable. Plans are to update all the sliops on the north side, as the south side has been done. If you are on the north side, maybe you will have to accept less than optimum accomodations.
Dock and facility map.
From the south slips, you can see the dinghy dock at the edge of town. Using your dinghy to go to the town dock results in the shortest walk to town.
A short walk across the railroad tracks and you are in town.
The shops in town are small and charming.
